Are You Superstitious? V1

Episode Bio

Matthew, Cassandra, and Brittany decide to sit down and discuss something that hides in the back of everyone's mind. Something that travels alongside you like a shadow, rearing it's head ever so often to let you know that you have briefly become an inhabitant of another, unseen, realm. Whether you stepped foot into this unknown, psychic kingdom willingly, or unwillingly, is of no importance as forces greater than yourself seem to take over... you're at their mercy. What is this strange feeling? Why does it happen when you see a black cat cross your path or while you walk on a sidewalk, looking down at every crack in the concrete that you carefully step over? What compels us to knock on wood when we say something that could put our future at risk or throw our hard-earned money down a well, only to close our eyes, lift up our heads and create thoughts of our desires? This "feeling" and accompanied scenarios are all part of a concept called, superstitions. They run through everyone's minds, every day. Superstitions are a belief and respect in the supernatural. Some have even come about to be looked at as a pseudoscience with few actually creating roots in the world of science, informing us just a little more on how the world works. Your hosts tonight talk about some superstitions, both common and uncommon, and slightly touch on their origins. Have yourself a listen and we hope you enjoy the episode! Take care everyone and stay safe and healthy out there. You'll hear from us soon!

We also have to say that our good friend and co-host, Josh, will sadly have to step down from The Farthest Reaches from here on out. His professionalism, time, and remarkable effort put into TFR has been invaluable and will never go unnoticed. We thank you for everything, Josh, as TFR wouldn't have come into existence without you. We wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors.
